Math: Mod 1: First have students finish the Math Test they started last week. Odd pages were missing from the document. This is one page front and back. Tell students to try their best but it will not count on their report card. Once students finish that they should review for a quiz on Wednesday. To review they can do worksheet page 83. Once they are done you can give them the answer key. If they complete all that they can silent read.
Mod 3: Read 2 books about the Holocaust to kids. Have them focus on the five themes we have been discussing which are on the board. Have students reflect upon the stories looking for examples of courage, hope, despair, resiliency, and resourcefulness. These attributes are the theme of our study. Have them record short descriptions of examples from the stories in their journals. Ex: Finding four perfect pebbles was an example of hope. (Page 7) She hoped that her 4 family members would survive and that finding 4 perfect pebbles would be a sign that they would.
Mod 4: Work on motion packets. Students can use their netbooks to do this.
